Perler Beads

Perler Beads! I started seeing videos of people making them on social media and it brought back all sorts of memories; like laying on the floor helping my cousin making little keychains. So I put together a reference board and got to work!

The Proposal

My first time using the Vicon Motion Capture system as well as Motion Builder. Looking back I wish I had more experience with Maya for the end product. But now that I have gained more experience I want to redo this project at some point.

Pumpkin Kitchen

Using an inspiration image I created this kitchen scene to reflect the objects and color palette. We were told to use any medium we wanted so I chose Blender.

Logo Cake

Little Kitchen

Multi-Lingual City

Foggy Forest

Creating my first environment following CG Geek's youtube tutorial "Create a Realistic Forest in 30 Minutes | Blender Tutorial"

The Donut

As many people, my first full introduction to Blender was the Donut Tutorial by Blender Guru. THe specific video I followed was the Blender 2.8 Beginner Tutorial.

Cat in the Hat Recreation

A recreation from a scene in Cat in the Hat (2003). The intention was to match all elements as closely to the original as possible through analysis of perspective and graphs demonstrating lighting and color.

Mocap Parsing Script

The assignment was to create a parsing script using Python. Using the parsed mocap data I brought it into Houdini to create the final product using the copy to points and a DOP network.

The Mail Man

My first time creating a fully rendered scene using Maya. The assignment was to create a car and environment. I chose to create a Grumman LLV

Ready to Box?

My weakest point of the motion capture pipeline is foot contact and clipping. This WIP is a practice in motion builder to strengthen those areas. There are 3 capture takes in this sequence and I have fixed the foot contact with 2 of them. Fixing the last floor contact issue as well as the arms clipping are my next task.

Convenience Store

A recreation of an image, the scene has several customizable features such as adjustment of shelf inventory. 53 custom textures were made for each shelf item with a combination of Canva and Substance Painter 3D.

Japanese Pancakes

Bluey Kitchen

Strawberry Cake

Fairy Teapot

The teapot house is the first project that I'm doing without a tutorial. I wanted to create a little beginner game style house that a player could start with before eventually upgrading to bigger and better houses. The little animation is supposed to feel like you were walking around and exploring.

The Magical Mouse

Car Composite

Day to Night

This was a collaborative assignment where we all had different day shots and had to convert them to night and make them look cohesive. I was in charge of the first shot. I also took a bit of a lead on this assignment and created a spreadsheet to keep things organized.

Python Quilt

Turtle Crossing

Manta Ray

Procedurally creating an automata inspired by the Manta Ray Automata by Nicks Wood Carving House on Etsy. The wings and body are controlled by attaching the wires to a rotating curved wire.  The textures for the body of the Manta Ray are made with Substance Painter 3D, and the wood textures are made in COP.

London Townhome

Afternoon Tea Shop

Capybara Cake

Lemon Cake

Lightning in a Bottle

Froggy

Creating my first character following Mars youtube tutorial "Blender for Beginners: Easy Froggy!"

Cat in the Hat Mood Variations

After recreating the scene from Cat in the Hat (2003) I made scene variations to the same room shell. This could be variations ranging from lighting, texturing, and modeling. I chose to do one of each.

Low Poly Animals

Real or Fake

An assignment in look development to create 3D egg that matches the  photo using light, color and texture.
