I have learned lots of different skills from all ranges of the production pipeline. Below are the things that don't really have a place within my main portfolio, but are still important to my learning journey.
Day to Night
This was a collaborative assignment where we all had different day shots and had to convert them to night and make them look cohesive. I was in charge of the first shot. I also took a bit of a lead on this assignment and created a spreadsheet to keep things organized.
Car Comp
I was so happy with the end product of this. The reflections especially had really improved the believability of the comp. This was the first time I had done what I would consider a successful composite.
Turtle Crossing
I was quite satisfied with this project. i got a really good matte for the bluescreen and the small roto work I did was successful. My biggest critique was to work on my color grading.
Rotoscoping
First time doing a full rotoscope in Nuke. I made my shapes a bit to big, so its not a perfect roto. But I am happy to have gotten the basic movement covered.
Actor Replacement
An assignment where we replaced an actor in the scene with our own. Done in Nuke, I struggled to get proper placement of the actor when filming. As for compositing I struggled with the hair and color grading.
Elevator Composite
My first composite done in Nuke. I think that the main struggle for me was the color grading and the hair.
